romance in Malta
There is a fierce competition among Kollywood directors to shoot in never-seen-before locations. Abroad locales like Switzerland, Malaysia, Australia, and Thailand have already reached the staturation point and it's also difficult to get visas to the US and the UK. Now Goutham Menon, known for his different approach to a problem, has discovered a new location for Tamil films! He is shooting his Simbu-Trisha romantic film VINNAITHANDI VARUVAAYA in the beautifuk islanda of Malta, an island nation comprising seven islands, situated in the Mediterranean sea, off the coast of Italy. After having fun shooting in the backwaters of Kerala, the pair is now shaking a leg of two songs composed by AR Rahman in Malta! The island is a hot favourite among Hollywood producers. Many blockbuster movies, including the bond series and GLADIATOR, have been filmed in the island. Recently, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor also shot a song for their KHAMBAKT ISHQ in Malta. Now, Gautham Menon has apparently become the first director from south India to shoot a film in Malta. Isn't that groovy?
